I just realized you have been planning Nikra for 5 or more years.
What program do you use to draw/generate the planets? (Or is it a secret?) Very fancy lighting and shading. 
Simply photoshop 
A tonnes of filters, and an OCD eye to things. Just apply a Sphereize filter a few times, add some shadow, a glow, and you're set!
